In Costa Rica the insurance market belongs to the government under a monopoly status, through the Instituto Nacional de Seguros.

This brings a lack of variety and flexibilty at the time to purchase insurance expecting to have a great deal. Nevertheless, our company is ready for this inconvinience and propose the following structure of coverages.

The normal daily insurance for normal automovile is $15.00 with a deductible (maximum responsability) of $950.00.
The normal daily insurance for normal four wheel drive cars is $18.00 with a deductible (maximum responsability) of $950.00. The normal daily insurance for Luxury and Premium 4x4 is $25.00 with a deductible (maximum responsability) of $1500.00.

*In any chosen case the third party insurance is included. Notice: personal belongings, suitcases, cameras, etc...are not coveraded as well as gasoline or tires.

Any insurance claim will be consideraded valid when:
1- Not driving under the influence of alcohol or psychotropics.
2- Having the police ticket.
3- The driver was expressly authorized on the rental contract.
4- Older than 21 years old.
5- Not driving on beaches, roads not shown on the map as driveable or crossing rivers.
